Thrills and spills in New Jersey

For stomach-dropping, pulse-racing entertainment, New Jersey is the place to go on a charter bus visit. The state ranks second in the country in number of roller coasters with 47, according to statistics from the Roller Coaster Database. California leads the category with 77. Pennsylvania is a close third with 46. New Jersey boasts 43 steel coasters and four wooden ones. But the amusement parks in New Jersey offer more than thrill rides, they offer activities for all comfort levels for groups on a rental bus visit with a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from Rental Bus Charter.
Known to New Jersey charter bus visitors for its roller coasters, Six Flags Great Adventure & Wild Safari features two thrillers, El Toro, a wooden machine that drops at a gut-wrenching 76 degrees, and Nitro, a steel monstrosity that explodes 230 feet in the air, then drops 215 feet at 80 miles per hour. The park boasts 10 rides that rate "Max" on the thrill meter, but plenty of rides exist for the faint of heart and children. Weighing in at "Mild" on the meter are Bugs Bunny Barnstormer, Daffy's Deep Diver and Monkey Around. For those in between, the "Moderates" include Jolly Roger, Congo Rapids and Skull Mountain. The Wild Safari part of the park features a 4.5-mile drive-through to see 1,200 animals, including fan favorites brown bears, giraffes, lions, elephants and rhinos. Entertainment throughout the park includes a Wiggles dance party, animal trainer talks and concerts. Themed areas are targeted just for kids, including Looney Tunes Seaport, Bugs Bunny National Park and Fantasy Forest.
Your children's favorite stories will become larger than life at Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township. Based on storybooks and nursery rhymes, this amusement park allows children on a rental bus visit, ideally aged 1 to 8, to see large versions of Humpty Dumpty, the Three Little Pigs, Jack (of Beanstalk fame), Jack (of Jill and the hill fame) and Mother Goose. Billed on its website as "20 acres of family fun," the park offers plenty of rides for charter bus visitors, from Bubbles the Coaster and Turtle Twirl to Big Foot and Whirly-Bug. Each ride has specifications on whether a child can ride alone or must be accompanied by an adult. The park has an unlimited ride policy, so once you're in, you ride without tickets the whole day. Be warned, many of these rides may unsettle your stomach.
The centerpiece of the Victorian-themed Fantasy Island may be its custom-designed, ornate carousel that features Bradley & Kaye horse molds that date to the turn of the 20th century. The park, lined with brick walkways, old-time lampposts and oak benches, features rides for adults and children, requiring admission by tokens. Kiddie rides include the Honey Bees, train, car, truck and boat rides and the Pirate Ship. Adults and older kids on a charter bus visit will enjoy faster rides like the Sea Dragon and Drop Zone. For a view of the park and the ocean, check out the Giant Wheel. When you need a break from the rides, the park offers a carnival-like arcade with games of chance and skill. Family entertainment is part of the deal and may feature magic, exotic birds or reptiles.
